This directory contains patches for the current X-CD-Roast release 0.98alpha15.

Before you report a bug you can check here about known issues and possible solutions.

	keyfree.tar.gz		: Another (more thorough) patch to allow
				  X-CD-Roast use the recent free 
				  cdrtools ProDVD versions.
				  Thanks to Carl Williams

	modern_cdrtools.patch	: Fix some incompatibilites with recent
				  cdrtool versions.

	sun-studio11.patch.gz	: Fixes several warnings of Studio 11 on
				  Solaris x86 machines. Thanks to 
				  Klaus Ziegler.

	new_configure.tar.gz	: The GTK2 section in the original ./configure
				  script incorrectly expects the pcre-lib
				  to be installed. This lib is not required and 
			 	  using this new configure script removes the
				  dependency.

	gtk2locale.patch	: If using the GTK2 version on non-UTF-8 
				  systems (check with "echo $LANG" and see
				  if "UTF-8" is displayed), then on some systems
				  the use of non-english characters (like
				  german umlauts) works not correctly in filenames. 
				  If you have this problem, this patch should
				  help - please report back. However, there
				  are also systems where this patch will BREAK
				  support for non-english characters.  

	64bit_gsize.patch	: This fixes a core dump in the GTK2 version
				  when using a 64-bit platform. Thanks to 
				  James Noyes for finding this.	

	read_eagain.patch	: Fixes all the crashes on Mac OS Panther when
				  reading output from cdda2wav or readcd. 
				  Note: I am not sure if this breaks anything 
				  on other platforms. 

	wav.patch		: Will make X-CD-Roast much more nicer in 
				  accepting some wav files to burn than before.
				  (The wav detection code was outdated and not
				  according to the specifications.)
				  Lots of thanks to Steve Wahl for creating that patch.

How to apply these patches?

Steps:

• untar the xcdroast sources
  
• change into the xcdroast-0.98alpha15/src directory
  
• run patch -p0 <filename.patch
  
• go back to the xcdroast-0.98alpha15 directory
  
• read the README on how to compile. If you had an RPM install before, be sure to give the correct configure options: (at least: --prefix=/usr --sysconfdir=/etc)
